Either turn off the wireless router feature with the Exede modem or unplug your netgear router and use the wireless router in the Exede modem. You only need one of them.

I was told before I installed the new modem this could be done. How do you turn off the router in the Exede modem?

See:

Technically, it only disables WiFi - the router functionality is still required for wired connectivity.

P.S. Best done using a wired connection...
