Windows 10 Anniversary Update Problems

For those running Windows 10 and wondering where all of their data is going over the past several months, the Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade with automatic updates enabled has been a disaster for many (not simply those on Exede) since the rollout began in August. See:

If you were unfortunate enough to get it early after August 2, there have since been some 7 cumulative updates. The latest is problematic just from the endless reboot loop introduced and many have reported that some of these fail during the download (rather than the install itself) process only to be retried and downloaded again on failure.

P.S. The roll-out is tentatively scheduled to continue through November.
