Is there any difference between the two? I have Wildblue ...And why would one want to switch to Exede?

Depends on where you live if you can get exede or not.  Main difference is exede is quite a bit faster then WildBlue though that comes with the draw backs that with faster speeds some adds and embedded videos will load faster and and could use more data.  Now with exede being faster yes it makes it easier to watch videos and stuff during the LNFZ but it's up to you if you want to switch/ if exede is offered in your area yet.

Hello Susan,

Wildblue was our original product/company prior to being purchased by ViaSat and the launch of Exede in 2012. Exede is the current product offered by ViaSat to our internet customers. While we do service both brands and will continue to service existing Wildblue customers, Exede is the modern and current product. With Exede we do offer much better internet options, faster internet speeds and plans. With Exede you can add more data as needed, utilize the Late Night Free Zone and so on. There's no obligation to switch, but Exede does carry a lot more attractive features and benefits. Feel free to drop me an email at exedelistens@viasat.com if you'd like more information on what is available in your area!
