Dude... its not just a scam... I have a data limit plan with Wild Blue & for the first time in 3 years, they want me to pay 95.00 for "the guy" to come out and "adjust" my disc. I pay on time, regular, and seldom use all my data.... now..... They Want to charge me an extra 95.00 bucks service charge?????? I told them to send someone out to fix the issue, or send someone out to pick up the equiptment. I will not pay more regardless. Thay will be here Monday, Hopefully.

That's our service call charge. We do have our EasyCare plan to avoid paying the fee. It's just $6 monthly and as long as you keep it for 90 days after the service call you won't be charged.

@ Doug -Block the caller via your phone provider, most cell phones have that option in settings, landline providers have ways of doing it, call them if you need to. Exede does not ask for moneygrams, checks, wire transfers and such, they deduct payments form the payment method you have on file with them, that's all.

@Kevin, that is the normal fee for a service call, regardless of reason. Unless you have Easy Care, that's what anyone pays for a service call. The service technicians are NOT direct Exede employees, they are independent contractors, approved to sell and service Exede equipment, they do not work for free.

Doug & Judy

Please call us at 855-463-9333 or email us at exedelistens@viasat.com (preferably the latter as we know exactly who to send this to). If you have the numbers that called you we would want that to file a fraud report. Exede will never ask you to pay them over the phone like that. If you owe us money we charge the payment method on file, if that doesn't work and it goes for a long time it goes to collections. We never ever call customers to collect money. We certainly will not ask them to do this via moneygram either. We only accept debit/credit card payments as well as Electronic checks.

I'm glad you did not send that nimrod money. Please email that information to me.

Thanks
