When I lived where I could get AT&T internet, they provided virus protection free. Does Viasat provide virus protection, free of charge?

I've never seen an offer for providing free virus protection software.

Ahhh the joys of the country lifestyle. You can purchase your own virus protection for arounf $50 /yr. It's not as disproportionate as the difference between internet prices in the city vs country.

At one point, Viasat did, but that offer ended several years ago.

If you want pay antivirus, you can get it "cheap" when it's on sale.  Bitdefender was around $15 for 5 or so users after the holidays, one year.  This was $35 a couple months ago, for two years.  https://www.frys.com/product/9965036?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG  Last time I looked it rates highly.

There are plenty of free antivirus programs out there. I've used Microsoft Security Esssentials, the free version of Avast, AVG, Malwarebytes and Panda and never had a problem. Since Windows 10 came out I've just used the built in Windows Defender. Haven't had an infection in over 10 years.

Wildblue68 gave F secure free for one year, then about 3 dollars a month. I pay about 50 dollars a year for norton, covers 10 devices, very reasonable, and excellent protection. Shouldn’t be penny wise and pound foolish in this area.

There are very good free AVs out there.  Bitdefender, Kaspersky and Avast tend to be at the top of review lists.
