I thought they were high posters that had been helping people, then I clicked on the about. Now I'm confused.

It is based on providing helpful information, somehow determined by the Exede moderators.

As JEP alluded, it's just identifying members of the forum who are engaged on a regular basis, helpful and who appear to have a good level of knowledge about our service. Typically they're fans of the service, although they can be critical at times as well. They are not compensated, although we may in the future send our champions some tokens of our appreciation like T-shirts or USB drives and the like.

One of the mods emailed me once telling me he wanted to make me a champion but I would have to stop telling people how much better the other forum is. At the time, I didn't see any advantage to being a champion but I could always use a T-shirt. :)

On five of them, that must have been quality posting to do it in 1, 1, 5, 7 and 8 posts. :-)

Welcome to "The Family" now you are one of us.  We may ask you for a favor someday, kind of an offer you can't refuse.

Well that's not ominous at all! :)

Thanks for all of the help guys, it really makes such a huge difference having other customers chiming in. Often the people who post here believe we can do nothing right and it's impossible to get real help, and you show them otherwise. Invaluable!
