What happened to my plans

A few weeks ago I had about 8 plans to choose from, now I have only 3. I was thinking about upgrading to an unlimited plan next year, but now I don't have any. What happened?

They have suspended the unlimited plans on your beam to avoid overselling it.

Once Viasat-2 comes online early next year expect more packages to be available again. Just be patient.

I wonder if that is to slow upgrades or downgrades?

Plans are subject to change.

My advice really any time you see a plan that you want to get ,you should pull the trigger ASAP because the only constant is change. As beams fill up, new plans are introduced, old plans retired, you will see different plans at different times. You will be grandfathered into any plan you are on. Just be aware that if you make a change, go onto hibernation/vacation mode you'll only be able to change to the currently available options.

That's all well and good, but I just upgraded my plan a couple of months ago to the next one I could afford. Next year I will be able to afford the next upgrade. Can't pull the trigger on the top plan if you can't afford it, not only do plans change, being able to afford it changes also. Seems the options that are there should stay there.

Brad, what would happen if your account was in hibernation and no plans were available when you wish to resume normal service?

I had at least 6 different plans to choose from last week and now I'm stuck with the one I have.
