Weather issues but not here?

I've had terribly slow connectivity most of the time since yesterday. I'm on beam 331, and eSVT is telling me that I'm having a weather outage, but there is no weather anywhere around here. Could this be caused by weather between the base station and the satellite? Where is that base station, so I can look at the weather near there?

steve, you can find where your ground station is by looking at the top of the eSVT, next to GATEWAY.  It is shown as a 3 letter Airport code. If you can't figure what the code means, just Google Airport Code xyz

It's HYS, which is Hays, Kansas. Am I right that the trouble could be between the ground station and the satellite?

Yes, bad weather at your gateway can cause an outage for you.
