We are installing a security camera system but the wifi signal doesn't go far enough or isn't strong enough for the a couple of the cameras.

We would like to get an extender that plugs into the wall receptacle to boost the wifi signal. Is there anything on the market that is compatible to this modem?

This modem is standard ethernet so it is compatible with the extenders out there. I have a Netgear powerline extender and it works pretty well. The wifi signal from the extender has way better coverage than the Viasat modem or even the Linksys router.

I have a TP-Link extender, and it works reasonably well for me: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0195Y0A42/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Please note that I don't use it for data-intensive stuff, which I imagine security cameras would be.
