Failure to provide acceptable service. Required to pay early cancellation fees when I didnt even receive enough service to use. I hope they like the empty box of equipment they recieve back. They didn't meet my expectations for any type of internet, so I kind i wont meet their expectations for receiving equipment back. I'm getting something for what I paid for.

Yep.  And when you sit on your pedestal and refuse to pay for the non returned equipment, I hope you like your credit rating taking a nice hit, as well.

What do you consider acceptable service?

Some might suggest that an attempt to withhold Viasat's property by sending back an empty box is also fraud or an attempt to defraud them of their property. Try to think through it logically...   that's a losing strategy for you on many counts. What's your defense going to be? I forgot to pack the box?

Wait for a moderator (employee) to weigh in and take their advice - we all know what's coming...  ViasatListens but I prefer to let the moderators make a direct request for that (otherwise we could just replace this community with a simple mail to link).

Temper temper, They own the equipment do surrender it when you cancel. The company is at the mercy of the installers. At times it does appear their attitude is like it or lump it. I can't say I've been delighted with them, How ever it beats dial-up hands down. Come on guys (Wildblue)  make this client happy. Perhaps you need to create and post black listed installers. What do I click so I don't get a million replies to this comment? Thanks

Drop down the menu by clicking on your name in the banner at top right, click profile, click email notifications, then clear check boxes and click the save buttons as needed. Last I knew there was also a link to your profile in the email notifications - never get any here.

Fraud?  Rip off?
I don't know.  I've had the service for going on three years now and I'm pretty happy and I don't feel ripped off.  Either you got a bad install [possible] or you went into it without your eyes open and had unrealistic expectations.  Viasat, Hughes, your cell phone provider and/or your satellite TV provider all have contracts and terms of service you have to agree to along with a minimum obligation which in the case of satellite tv and internet is for a two year period regardless of provider.  I don't know about you but I don't jump into something without being darn sure what I am getting into.

I was lied to when I signed up. They told me I could stream low definition when I burned my 40 gigs. Complete Bs. Can't even stream at 144p. $90 dollars a month for 2 days of service. I wish they didn't lie to get you to sign up. You bastards.. supposed to be throttled only during high traffic.. I call bs... Your taking advantage of rural areas. I think hughsnet may of had y'all beat. But they talked the talk and convinced me I'd be able to stream low definition. Good thing they finally starting to run fiber in my area. I would not recommend vsat to my worst enemy's

Yea.  Once you exhaust your priority data, all bets are off.  Due to high latency and congestion, I had streaming problems with Viasat even when I had priority data left.

Of course if you burned through 40 GB in 2 days, that would equate to 600GB, which is definitely more than Viasat internet would support.

They shouldn't be advertising it as unlimited, but they do.  That doesn't help the product's reputation whatsoever.

I started out with Wild Blue shortly after they went online. 99% of the time has been a good experience with the service. There are some installers/service folks that do not do quality work. I experienced that but in the long run everything has been OK with our service and the upgrades that have led to Viasat.
Satellite internet is not wired internet and probably will never have wired speeds. We live in a rural area that has wired internet nearby and we can pay to have it installed for $20,000. Yup, satellite is OK with me.
