Very satisfied customer until upgrade

Been a customer back to the Wildblue days for over 10 yrs. Very unhappy with Exede now after that last upgrade with not being able to return to previous plan. Data usage is ridiculously being used now where before the upgrade I almost always had data left over at the end of the month where I would want to use it up before it reset. I am convinced it's that new wifi modem.

If you have upgraded to the 25mbs plan then you will use a lot more data because you will be able to surf the internet a lot faster, which means you will use more data.

However, if she puts a throttle in place for everyday internet activities like I do, and that she can temporarily lift at any time, those websites will not be able to burn up her data as fast and she will be able to keep her data for the things she really wants.

What happens if you turn the wifi off on the wifi modem and connect your computer directly to the modem using an ethernet cable?

Hi Wanda,

Unfortunately some of our Classic and Evolution plans have been retired in some areas in favor of Liberty plans. When an account suspends for like a vacation mode when you reactivate you'll have to do what plans are available. Like Jim suggested, it's a lot easier to burn through data with the faster speeds as things load quicker. Also from this post it sounds like this is a location that just returned from being on a hold. There could be some things like updates for both devices and if you have the new windows that could have all decided to initiate once you reactivated.
