Very Poor service

We have been having problems getting an installer to reinstall our dish.  It has been an issue for 4 months now with no satisfaction from the installer (who keeps blowing us off) or ViaSat who doesn't care or communicate at all.  The installer installed our new Viasat we were talked into getting when our old system broke,  at the tail end of winter, when it was completely icy here.  He promised to come back to dig in our satellite, which was sitting on top of the ground in a big mound of cement and bury the cable when it thawed.  We called and he said he never promised and blew us off 3 different times he said he would be here to take care of the sloppy, improper installation.  For 4 months we were getting interrupted internet service almost every day because of the poor installation.  We have called ViaSat several times and they actually could care less.  They have no customer service and we think they have us under a barrel because we have a 2-year contract.  Our dealer is not a real dealer and only does this part-time and has been no help.  Don't these companies know that all you have to do is keep your word and give good service and customers will be happy with you!  It's not rocket science!  They cause the wrath that comes from very poor customer service and wonder why they have people calling them to complain and end up yelling at them.

Yes you would be correct in stating they have you under a barrel with a 2 year contract.

I get not being able to install with the weather, but why install at all like he did?

Installing is a tough business and they dont make a lot of money. I don't envy installers.

Yes you would be correct in stating they have you under a barrel with a 2 year contract. One must weigh the monetary value of dealing with the frustration and stress of poor service to include lack of performance. Bail out while you can...RUN!

At this point, I want the installer's license pulled. I want to file a complaint with his union.  Anyone can tell me how we go about doing this.  Too many times he said he would be here and doesn't show up.   He promised again today that he'd be here at 8:00 am.  He called us and said he hasn't heard from us (which is a lie) and he took another job. It's Sunday.  He will be here this afternoon.  Same exact thing he said to us last Saturday.  Its supposed to rain all day.  He is playing games with us and we aren't playing anymore!

Viasat installers are independent of Viasat and basically 3rd party contractors, they work for no one but themselves. That is why getting a good one is the luck of the draw. Complaining to Viasat is your only recourse. When I had Viasat the techs who came out to my home said they received a $80 flat fee for their type of calls for labor regardless of what they did. That can lead some people to do sloppy work if 30 minutes pays the same as 4 hours.

ExViaUser I doubt Viasat will do anything.  I have no faith in any communications company anymore for quality customer service or even decent customer service.

Brad or Diana will. They do what they can and will be responsive. I dont care for some of the company's policy changes lately, but there are a number of good people who work in Denver.
