Was very misled by exede representative when I signed up for a 2 year contract. Now i am dissatisfied with both clunky operating speed and the amount of data that is being gobbled up (which i was convinced would be totally sufficient for myself and my girlfriend for a month).  Customer service has been totally unhelpful and now I read the dozens and dozens of poor reviews for this company. I am incredible disappointed and i feel like I have been scammed.

I would try to call them ask for corporate escalations! There is also a new FB group concerning this...

Seth, I don't know what you were told or, if was by Exede directly or, a local installer or, A partner company like DirecTv but, I and both the other champions here and the Exede employees on this forum would be happy to help you with a few data management tips to help you make the most of the service.

Here is a brief article on things you can do to control data usage: http://help.exede.net/articles/General/Maximize-Your-Data

There are many good ad blockers out there. I use the UBlock Origin extension for Firefox to block large media content on web pages as well as ads. I like it because I can choose how large a media element should be before it's blocks and, a simple right click lets me see the blocked content if I wish to.

This does not address how i was completely misled by one of exede's sweet talking employees. After reading all of the reviews And the experience i have had i am never ever using exede under any circumstances. Also, i am going to report to the better business bureau.

Hi Seth

None of the comments above are by Exede employees. They are costumers simply trying to help. I can look into this for you. Please email me at exedelistens@viasat.com and I'll take a look at this and work with you directly. I'm in the corporate office and will be more than happy to hear you out and take a look at all that transpired.

Very interesting how whoever is managing the message board changed the title of my post from "misled by exede employee" to "insufficient data"....I hope that everyone understands that this is another management technique by the staff at exede to try and cover up how much of scam artists they are.

Seth...again please email us. I am 100% committed and willing to help you with this. I have some suspicions of what might have happened and I have the authority and ability to help you. This is our self-help board. I understand the frustration, but emailing me at exedelistens@viasat.com is going to be the best way to get the help you're asking for . We will have to discuss this via email for account security purposes since this forum is public.

As per our forum rules and guidelines we change titles as a way for customers to use this forum in the future (much like Apple and other companies do), as this is a forum ran by Exede we change titles to better serve visability in the future and on occasion we will remove posts if they violate our rules. That's why the title was changed. Please email me, I'll look forward to helping you out.
