Using More Data per day on the new Liberty 50 plan??

I recently switched to the new Liberty 50 plus free zone plan.  Since the switch I've had slower speeds in general plus I've noticed that I use more data per day.  On my old plan I used about 1GB per day by being very careful about data usage.  We don't stream Netflix, we turn off the wifi on our iPhones, don't back up iPhones to iCloud every day, etc.    

I was so happy when the new Liberty 50 plan came out and I switched immediately.  I thought Wow, maybe we can even stream a Netflix show or two each month.  But now we are using about 2GB per day and we have not changed anything with our internet usage.  

Also, when I look at our data usage breakdown on the Exede account management page it shows data usage during the 3am to 6AM free zone.  If data is not being counted between 3AM and 6AM, why is it showing in my account management?

If it shows as Orange that means it's not being counted it just shows what was used in the Free Zone but does not count towards your monthly allowance.

No, nothing shows Orange.  All the bars on the bar chart showing hourly usage are blue.  It doesn't make sense that we haven't changed anything and suddenly we are using more data each day.

We can always look for you if you email us at exedelistens@viasat.com. A common occurrence is that some customers tend to get used to going into Liberty pass relatively early into their cycle but since you can continue to be online, a lot of times the data is no longer as closely monitored like most would do before going into Liberty Pass, but once upgraded it can certainly be perceived to being used up quicker since the limit has increased. Sorta like adding more TV channels but still not being able to find something on TV in a way. Either way we'll be more than happy to investigate for you and see if we can find anything out of the ordinary or if something sneaky like an automatic update hit you or not.

I keep a daily log and list my data usage each day, or every other day.  Example, yesterday morning data usage was 27.7.  This morning is is 31.3.  I wasn't online much yesterday other than email and some websites for work and used over 2GB of data?  Really?  So I look at the usage breakdown and it shows 1/2 my data usage was marketplace.  That is not correct.  I will send an email to the address you sent me.  Also, I am seeing spikes in usage at 4AM most days.  What is that about?  That is my free zone isn't it?

Keep in mind we have absolutely no idea who you are on the forum. It's not linked to your account in any way. The only way we can answer those questions is via the email you sent
