Upgrading to Freedom 150 from Evolution 5GB

OK, let's try a TL;DR version. Eight months ago, the author of this thread (https://community.exede.com/exede/topics/upgrading-to-freedom-150-gb-plan) was referred to this document (http://viasat.force.com/kb/articles/General/About-new-Exede-promos-and-the-Freedom-plan) by Exede Lindsey for more information on Freedom 150.

That document states

"Also, keep in mind that in Freedom areas, you also have the ability to upgrade to the $49.99 Evolution 5 plan, which gives you unlimited email and webpage access PLUS 5 GB of data for video and everything else at the same price as our previous base-level plan."

as well as the statement:

"Another great option in the Freedom areas is Evolution 20 for $79.99/mo: unlimited email and webpage access PLUS 20 GB/mo of data for video and everything else. That’s the same price as our previous Classic 15 GB plan. So, the options in the Freedom areas include more data for the same price you’re paying now, or the ability to upgrade to a plan with a lot more data."

Are those statements true? If I try Freedom 150 and find it's not a fit, can I move back to my Evolution 5 plan? And what about Evolution 20? Is that plan available?

Original Post
=============================

While my Evolution 5's EBFZ & unlimited browsing and email have been outstanding features (of which I've taken full advantage), the 5GB data cap has been a thorn in my side from day one. In the past, I've been told that there were no guarantees that my Evolution plan would be available if I decided I wanted to return to it after trying an upgraded plan. Indeed, it's been ages since I've seen any Evolution plan in the product lineup so I've always assumed that I was grandfathered into a defunct product with Evolution, and the fear of getting locked out of Evolution has kept me from upgrading for the last couple years.

Now, though, in the "ABOUT THE EXEDE FREEDOM PLANS" document at http://viasat.force.com/kb/articles/General/About-new-Exede-promos-and-the-Freedom-plan, I see that not only is Evolution 5GB available as an "upgrade" if the Freedom plan doesn't work for me:

So what gives, here? Can I take the first statement as a promise that I can return to Evolution 5 if Freedom 150 does't suit me?

And what about the second statement? IS there an available Evolution 20 plan? Could I upgrade to Evoluton 20 from my Evolution 5 plan right now? If I try Freedom 150 and it doesn't work for me, could I move to an Evolution 20 plan at that point?

I'd really appreciate some direction on this. 5GB is a ridiculously small cap in this day and age and Freedom 150 looks attractive, but I run critical data backups and updates during the EBFZ and I can't risk losing that functionality if I get stuck in another plan that turns out to be insufficient for my needs.
