Unauthorized charges

You are not authorized to take more than one payment out of my account at a time. This is done frequently. It throws my account out of balance especially when I have other bills due. No authorization!!!!!!

This is largely a public customer-to-customer self help forum and we (customers) can't really address billing issues.

Eventually an actual Viasat employee may also weigh in with an offer of some private assistance. Contact method above may be quicker since the moderators don't monitor this forum 24/7 (especially on weekends).

I don’t know the details of this Incident, but it’s a shame that stuff like this even happens. People come here all the time wanting to sue because of low speed’s or some other technical issue which is spelled out in the contract, but something like the frequent billing issues we hear of really is grounds for a class action lawsuit.

OMG this happened to me also. I paid my bill with the app and it actually took 119.70$ out of my account 3 times. Due to the I have 3 overdraft fees with are 34.99$ each. Viasat says it will take 7-14 days to get my money back. All they wanna give me is a 25$ credit. Hello how the that make up for 102$ of overdraft fees. I want my money and I should not haven't pay these fees. I live month to month. And have over bills that will have late payments fees. Has this happened to anyone else?

It typically won't take that long. That's just a disclosure that has to be given for ticketing process time. Once we apply the refund we give a 3-5 business day quote due to the time of our bank releasing funds and your bank accepting it.

We can send you a check for the overdrafts if we are sent the rolling bank statement showing the drafts caused by us and THAT will take 7-14 days because a check is mailed out. If this wasn't requested yet please email viasatlistens@viasat.com and I'll work with you

Have you called to make a payment? sometimes that happens and causes the double payment since it's not posted at the time the automatic draft happens.

 Or did you move? I haven't seen it in a while but I know sometimes the old account is active still and we have to take care of it. 

You will need to call us at 855-463-9333 since this involves payment issues and information
