Trouble managing data

I don't understand,I have 18gbs of data and I can't seem to make it a month without going over,I don't download that much.....so what gives?Do you want me to leave early so you can charge me more?Something drastic needs to change or I will be finding a better solution.

Let us know what operating system and version, as well as browser you use on your devices and your fellow subscribers can make some recommendations to eliminate some unnecessary traffic - most of these fall into the generic use of an ad blocker, controlling flash and html5 media that appear on web pages, and disabling automatic updates both at the operating system and application levels.

In addition it's good to know whether you have DirecTV or Dish connected to your router (either wirelessly or wired) and that's an easy one to address - don't do it on a limited data plan.      

You can also go to https://myesvt.exede.net and login with your Exede credentials - it will provide a categorized breakdown of how your data is being used. It may also indicate an installation issue that can cause excess data usage.

While the categorized breakdown can serve as a starting point, you'll likely need to dig deeper with a third party traffic monitoring application that can provide details not only on how much is being used but also where, when and what is using it. Once again, these applications are specific to your operating system(s) and environment so knowing that would be essential to receiving targeted rather than generic advice.

Just in case and if you haven't done so, you'll need to send an email to Brad at the email address he notes. You'll also need to include your account number and contact information with that email. Don't post it here since this is a public forum and the login information you use here is not associated with your Exede account.

That email will authorize using basically the same eSVT tool to look into your usage and offer an explanation privately.

A lot of people have been going over limits lately. Some of it has to do with Exede's web acceleration software. The last 2 months my data has been used up in 10 days (and I can normally make it a lot longer before going over). So, it might not be your fault. It doesn't help that webpages are taking up more bandwidth with fancy flash stuff now.
