Is it me or them? Is the system up and running or my equipment malfunctioning? Central Virginia is my location.

Same here Brian, mine has been out for a few hours now. I say it is them since you are out to.

Me too. Downloaded the Viasat app to see if diagnostics could find solution and said their system was down. Tried again and diagnostics said it was a weather issue? Not a cloud in the sky here.

Mine was out too. It was also out yesterday for a long time. If I'm on my phone, I often have to turn off wifi and use phone data to reach a website.

Weather can be at your home or, at your gateway which may not be anywhere near your home. For example, I live in AR but, my gateway is in WY so, even with clear skies here, a storm in WY can disrupt my service.

That midnight to 6:30 outage sounds like it might have been maintenance rather than weather, it happens now and then and it's usually a 5-6 hour intermittent outage so, that's about right for that.

hey Bev, good to see you still around.
the ground station for my beam, 239 is in Lovelock NV they were having only light snow. I am with you the midnight-6:30 sounds a lot like maintenance.
I sure wish there was some way to find out what is going on with them.
I showed zero signal the entire time on the modem status page 192.168.100.1.
since it was the middle of the night, I could not check with my neighbor who also has viasat to determine it was a system issue and not an equipment problem on my end.
I rent some cloud services and that company always advises in advance any planed maintenance and immediately for any failures or problems with their service.
VIASAT would do well to do the same.

Hey Bill, if you have even minimal cell service at home, get the Viasat app, it can often load and show you if it's a network outage or just you and, it has a few other tools in there as well.
