Ok, so our bandwidth is used up for the month, and once again I can't access Steam! Now here's the thing.

1st, they reset our bandwidth 12 days early for what ever reason, maybe to throw us off, I don't know.

2nd, we made sure not to do any large file downloading during the daytime. Only during the "Late Night Free Zone". We even waited until 2:00 A.M., because they always change the time when it kicks in. Sometimes at 10:00 P.M., 11:00 P.M.,or 12:00A.M.

Now here's the question. Is playing Steam games & League Of Legends online really sucking up 10GB? I've seen many people saying that LOL does not use a lot of bandwidth, but I'm not sure about Steam. And once again I ask, why all of a sudden the rules change? It use to be if you were DAP you could still access Steam, and other sites being blocked now.

And what happen to the original Steam throttling post. The board was still active, and now it's gone! And please, no generic answers like, (Maybe there's something wrong with your Modem, or Router).

I hope they change the DAP back to a better one that doesn't block online play, gaming related websites(Steam/LoL websites), download sections of a website.  My LNFZ is also starting at 11pm which is kinda of weird but I get bit of early time to do some gaming before I head to bed.  Its a big pain when your mainly a gamer.

As for bandwidth and games, I was explained to me once long ago... satellite is like a on/off switch when it comes to websites.  But for games its a constant data flow, even if the data is miniscule, the ISP doesn't like it.  Feel free to correct me if my bad analogy is wrong.

I got a day left before I resume my regular scheduled gaming hobby, thank goodness!

Data usage of games change drastically from game to game. I know for Diablo 3, it averages around 40mb/hour where as Hearthstone uses only a few mb's. World of Warcraft averages around 25mb/hour, but once I start raiding it easily climbs to around 50mb/hour. It isn't much but if you are a gamer, it quickly adds up over the month.
It is very annoying that in the past few months they have switched to full out blocking all gaming ports/access when in DAP. They even block iMessages o_O.

I get the same thing for anything that is SSL.  Perhaps they are using DPI on that new net neutrality crap ?
