I was wondering if any other customers on VS2 are using SLING? I fell like Netlfix works great  but SLING randomly stutters for a second despite good speedtests 35Mbps ?? Overall its been a good swap I was only getting 2-4 Mbps on VS1 during primetime and my bill didnt really go up that much. (I was on the unlimited VS1 plan with 150g allowance) We dont stream very heavy maybe 2-3 hours a day after work.

Run a speed test at fast.com - that will give you an idea of what speeds you'll get for video streaming since it's specifically designed to measure the Netflix experience - the unlimited plans throttle detect video stream speeds to a rate suitable for the plan you've chosen - for silver plans that's a speed that should be suitable to deliver content at 480P quality and some suggest that is somewhere between 1 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps. Not all content providers will handle adaptive streaming equally well (e.g. Youtube apparently doesn't from reports here but Netflix does have better adaptive streaming due to its more robust per title optimization).

Compare that speed test against some others such as testmy.net or speedtest.net which are designed to measure your overall bandwidth (not simply video streaming). For example, right now fast.com is showing 870 Kbps for me while testmy.net is showing 14.7 Mbps - I'm on a 12 Mbps plan on Viasat-1... right now at that speed of 870 Kbps most content providers would likely deliver content at 360P and those delivering higher than that would stutter (if detected by Viasat) - simply stated some adapt better than others to perceived current network conditions.

But if it works well you're better positioned on Viasat-2 where congestion shouldn't be an issue just yet...

Your Silver Plan will stream around 1Mbs.  So you seem to be in the ballpark.  I think you will find some services will be "iffy" at that speed.  Viasat really needs to bump up the streaming speed a tad on the Bronze and Silver plan.  What do you use to stream Slingtv?  Roku, computer?  Are you hardwired to the Modem?
