It's very easy to change plans online.  Why don't you switch to a different plan, and see if it is the plan... or something wrong with your connection.

Because it's unlimited.....I was told I would not have the lag I had before. But now it's so slow that I sometimes can't even open the recorded items on my directv. Or everything buffers.

It sounds like you may have just changed plans at a really bad time.

During the Christmas break there are a lot more people at home using the internet.  This translates into slower speeds no matter what plan you are on.

I'm on a Liberty 12 plan.  Normally, even after using my priority data, I get speeds between 5 and 10 mbps during the day.  Right now my speed is about 256k.  This is to be expected given there are a lot more people using the Viasat network than normal.

Things will go back to normal after people start going back to work/school around January 2nd.
