Should I wait for the Viasat 2 satellite before I sign up?

I am on the old Wildblue system with my uncle's household, but lately we are over our cap all the time.
I hardly use the Internet at all, but I tire of this so I'm considering getting my own Exede.
Should I wait till next year when the new Viasat 2 comes online or bite the bullet and get it now?

Do they give better deals to existing customers or new ones?
That is my main concern.
Any Exede workers with some advise?

Hi Val,
In order to determine what the best plan is for you, we need your location. Please
send us your contact information to You can  also visit our website, and  input in your zip code. We do not know
what plans will be available when ViaSat 2 launches, at this time.  Thanks

FWIW, ViaSat-2 may be further delayed as a result of yesterday's failed SpaceX launch. Although a different launch vehicle (Falcon Heavy) than yesterday's Falcon 9,  the first stage is comprised of three of those Falcon 9 core engines. Right now it appears all Falcon 9 launches have been suspended until they determine the cause of yesterday's catastrophic failure and there's been no mention of the impact on commercial schedules.

ViaSat's web site had indicated a late summer 2016 launch date but that's a launch date estimate. It takes some time to put the satellite into commercial service after that - around 90 days for ViaSat-1 as I recall and then a staged roll-out.

Hope that helps in determining whether to bite the bullet or not.

P.S. Speculation is that failure was in the second stage, but the Falcon Heavy's second stage appears to be an evolution of the prior.

Unfortunately, this is where we are in fact dealing with rocket science... and my Magic 8-Ball is saying get it now if available or wait to see if the first Falcon Heavy Test Flight scheduled for late this year goes off as scheduled.

I appreciate the responses. I wrote to Exedelistens, so hopefully someone there can give me some good advise.
