For the last week or so my modem has been rebooting on it's own. The white circle blinks for a while then goes to red and then blue. This is getting to be a PITA. Attached are some screen captures of the info. Also speed has been very low.

Put a fan on your modem. I had that problem until I did it. Doesn't have to be alot of air, just  get it in  the front vents. I used a USB fan. The only problem with this solution is if the modem is on, the fan should also be on.

Ok but just put your finger on the back plate where the coax connects to  the modem. If it is warm enough to be uncomfortable you still need to cool it. other than that, you got me!

Nope its as cool as a cucumber. I don't think it's a heat problem. I think its a Exede problem. I also checked the coax to make sure it was ok. This looks good also.

My SB2 modem(non WiFi) has been resetting, since Friday it is resetting a dozen times a day. Yesterday it was happening on average of every 45 minutes to an hour while we had perfectly clear skies. What is so strange is that Exede moderators are staying silent on this. Since they are doing changes to the Evolution Plan and DAP software, my money is that they are messing with the modem software too, and that is messing things up. Until last Friday, I was having resets on my modem after 8 to 10 days at a time, and then, usually due to weather conditions.

Surfbeam2 modem, beam 314, Liberty 18 plan with 74% data used.

I can understand that they are doing maintenance on their equipment, but I cannot understand the silence on this.

Same here for the last 3 days. I tried to call support and it said wait time 10 minutes. I finally hung up at 35 minutes. And that dumb music that runs in a loop was getting on my last nerve. I mean it would be ok for about 5 minutes but 35 is way too long to hear that crap. By the way there Grumpyoldman I went ahead and put a 12 volt 200 cm fan on iy and it didn't make a difference. I have a laser thermometer I got it today and when I checked the back on the metal it measured 87.4 degrees. I even set it in front of the Window AC and it still rebooted 3 times. As I said I think it's a EXEDE problem. Oh I forgot I also turned off the WiFi on the modem because I have a router.

Me too.
The past few days my modem keeps rebooting. It has rebooted over 5 times in the past 12 hours or so I think. ESVT doesn't report any problems that would cause it either. I understand why it went out when it was raining earlier, but now the weather is clear (according to ESVT). It rebooted when weather was clear before. It caused my characters to die in World of Warcraft several times because of the outage.
The modem has rebooted at least twice in the past hour.
Additionally, I have also been having very slow speeds. My connection keeps timing out when I try to load various pages.
I'm not sure what is going on, but it is very frustrating.

Mine is rebooting every ~70 mins. Now, if it was sporadic reboots, that I could attribute to mechanical failure, I had that problem a few years back and replacing old cables, connectors and modem finally fixed it. This is far too regular an occurance to be equipment failure, IMO. The fact they gave me a big account credit when they saw the modem history is also a red flag that it's a problem on their end, I'd say.

Hi  Dave and all on this thread, Our team has found a resolution to the constant rebooting issue. We are proactively correcting all affected modems in a rolling beam by beam fashion. All of them will be fixed by the end of the day. Thank you for your patience.  Have a great day!

I have had the same issue and it's beyond frustrating. I can't believe it has taken Exede over three days to get this fixed. My home office and office phone are dependent on my internet. I am losing work, dropping phone calls. I highly suggest that Exede compensate their customers for this extremely frustrating and inconvenient service.

Also, this is issue is not "solved". I spent 40 minutes on hold today to talk to two "tech" service reps and all they could say was they are working on it. This problem is NOT SOLVED!

My modem/router rebooting every several hours.  Tech tried to tell me I have too many things on the router and I had to upgrade I changed my plan to keep from going over my allowance of 30 GB.  I changed to the 50 GB plan and am unbder my usage only to still have issues of rebooting.  It used to happen on a very cloudy day but now even clear days.  Frustrating trying to record stuff during the free zone only to find out that I was without internet during those times!  I have a tech coming out this morning to look at the system.

Bill,
You're doing the right thing getting the tech to come out. Your problem could be as simple as a tweak of the dish alignment to equipment/cabling problems. Site problems are difficult to trouble shoot without the proper knowledge/test equipment
