Service Call only helped for One Week

So for the entire month of June my family was paying for internet we could not access. We finally got a technician out on the 1st to fix it, and then we we're back to our normal criminally low (200kbps) speeds.

We can deal with it, I know there's nothing better in our area so of course there's nothing I can do about it. It cost us 100 (added to next months bill).

Here is where the problem is:
The internet went out yesterday and has been out since. With the same issue as before! The modem is stuck at scanning, and cannot connect to the ifl.
Is the 100 dollar service fee just going to become a new monthly fee added on to the normal one, since it's looking like we will need someone out to fix it every month? Is there anything I can do about this?
I can't even call out a technician because we blasted through our data limit (4 weeks without internet and updates will really stack up for 6 people and their computers). Paying for their insurance isn't an option either, we are not interested in paying for internet + insurance for 3 months before they can send someone "for free". All the while having no internet!

Is there a reason viasat forces customers to pay to fix the equipment? I've talked to some of the technicians from earlier issues, and they all agree it's bizzare that they make us pay to fix *their* equipment.

We are just at wits end. Trying to move out of the neighborhood so that we can get better internet that is serviced everywhere but the one street we live on.

Thanks if you have stuck through my rant this long, I suppose I don't expect any help but sometimes you just have to yell into the void, you know?

Sounds like you are heavy users of the internet. Viasat doesn't support that very well. With limited unlimited data, after you blow through priority data (easy for a family of 6), you are left with 200kbps. That isnt very easy to tolerate.
