I called that. lol. It wasn't near enough funding they put in to bring broadband to those that actually needed it. They did however better the service for those who already have it.
Reason: Not "economically feasible". Wasn't power considered at one point not "economically feasible" to deliver to rural homes? But they stepped, and gave it to all. Internet is becoming no longer a "need" but an "essential" for everyday activities.
What I find bad is why did they give over 14 million to hughesnet when they could already deliver to those homes? Sounds like hughesnet made a little profit. When those customers probably either have satellite or don't want it in first place.
