I've done everything in the help section to convert my Galaxy email exactly as outlined and the incoming server settings are fine but the outgoing server settings come back with "unable to set up account. cannot safely connect to server". If I change the port from 587 to 465 then gives the error message "server does not support authentication". So I can receive email on my phone but cannot send. Help!

I'm having a similar problem, trying to set up IMAP across all of my devices (an old PC running Windows XP/Thunderbird, a Samsung Galaxy S5 using Gmail and Samsung email apps, and a Windows 8 laptop using the Windows email app).  I am following the instructions on the Exede site exactly.  None of my platforms will work using port 587 for outgoing mail.  Depending on the program/system, either nothing happens (no mail transferred) or I get various "unable to set up account/cannot connect to server" messages.

I can send and receive mail if I switch to port 465, but I'm having several annoying problems that may be related to that.  Messages that I delete do not get deleted from the server, and are downloaded multiple times.  Messages from years ago are downloaded multiple times as "new".  And syncing messages from the server across my various devices seems to be totally random.

I've had chats with a couple customer service reps, and talked on the phone with another, and none of them were much help.  They basically wanted to take me, step by step, through things I have already tried and knew would not fix the problem.

Hopefully this is just a temporary issue related to the migration.  If not, I'm going to have to switch to a different email address, which will be a huge
