Information provided is insufficient to form a rational analysis.

If you have an ASUS RT-AC68U or newer router, I can help you.

If you have the Viasat wireless router, somebody else using a similar model will need to offer their assistance.

General Info: 1) does the chromebook "see" the Router?
                      2) if it does does the router refuse the password you supply when you try to connect?

1) If the chromebook does not see the router check and make sure the 2.4G network is enabled, if you have the 5G enabled, the chromebook may not be able to connect to  the 5G network. Pretty much every computer supports 2.4G. Also make sure that the network is set to automatically get it's ip address and dns server address.
2) make sure you set the right password for the right network.
