We have a camera system and would like to be able to access while we are away (remotely). Anyone do I need static public IP ? Or would dynamic DNS work? We have the Exede Essential 10 plan.

Either or will work. I have seen them setup with ddns and with a static Ip address. The mods can weigh in here as far as what Exede as a company recommends or has seen work better with their service but I have seen them work just fine with ddns

You will have to have a public IP of some form, doesn't necessarily require it to be static, but, unless Exede has public addresses that haven't been yet used, you may be out of luck if your equipment is IPv4 only as ARIN announced today that they are officially exhausted of IPv4 addresses available for North America.

I setup using DDNS & seems to be working. My public IP lease expires tomm am so I will see if it updates correctly.

If you end up requiring a static/persistent IP address, we only offer that with our business package. Keep us informed if it changes on you when it updates
