Our router light is constantly off like it's not getting any wifi. How do I determine if my router is working. ( internet)

One time the direct tv fella said it was or modem. How does a non gadget person figure it out

Do you have the Exede WiFi modem or are you using a third party wireless router?

Steve's on the right track.

If it's a third-party router (linksys, netgear, etc) then troubleshoot that.  Start with the ethernet cable connecting the modem to the router.

If it's our combo modem/router, then we'd have to check the setting in the modem itself.  

If it's ours, I'd suggest sending us an email, and we can take a look!
