its been online for 1 day 9hours + so of course my LNFZ usage is going against my usage. Need to have this corrected and usage put back. This is not the first time I have had to do this. What is making the modem stick sometimes and not reset?

Whenever I suspect funky or aberrant behavior or if I leave the house, I just unplug the ViaSat modem. It rapidly resets when I plug it back in. Just offhand what is your impression of monitoring your cumulative billing cycle usage by taking screenshots of your dashboard? I am still disturbed that they do not include billing cycle data usage in the statements. Recently the have been telling me my cumulative usage over the phone. That is some progress.

Hi Sonya,
When you click this link to your modem status, what does the time say at the top/ right side? How does that compare to your actual time zone? http://192.168.100.1/?page=modemStatus
What was the resolve/ answers from Exede after the last time you posted about this?
When you say; " What is making the modem stick sometimes and not reset?" Not sure of your meaning? Do you mean a re-boot/ cold start-up?
Hope we can help,
Everett

Everette, if it would reset at the beginning of the LNFZ, that would be onderful, because right now we have no indication that the LNFZ has kicked in, unless you are DAP'd, which I have never been in the 30+ months I have been with Exede. We can hope that some day we will get some sort of indicator that the LNFZ has really been activated.

Neuman... what Steve said.
I keephopping hoping that on one of these modem updates a flashing LNFZ/EBFZ would show up indicating Happy Motoring lies ahead ;)

Yep - Like Steve said, that display is just a day:hour:minute:second elapsed time since your modem last rebooted. I think 3 weeks without resetting is about the longest duration I have seen on mine. It certainly doesn't reset at the beginning of LNFZ, at least for me it doesn't. Don't know if your DAP'd, whether it does or not. Seems like most of those folks look for the speed increase as the indication they are in LNFZ.

Yes, a LNFC would be a good add-on option. It sure takes a lot of explaining for the people that miss the time window.
I also think that my Special Update makes it so I can receive codded message from Exede. What does 311 - 113 mean to you guys?

Pie are square, cake are round. I should have taken those odd's to Vegas.

311 is the last sequel to The 300 - 113 is the 187th prequel generally released after the last sequel in the franchise. All of them will be automatically delivered to your modem's new media storage device.
"Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!"
I think I'll skip dinner tonight... I've got other plans.
Either that or you're now on the Exede 300-113 plan and it's inching up slowly but you're definitely motoring happily!
Either way, I've credited you with an extra gig for being a beta tester.

sonya and everyone else :::::: me and my boyfriend were to the point that you are at. we really wanted to change internet service providers because we found out our modem was not resetting. well long story short about five days ago i finally found out why. and now our late night free zone is amazing. we download movies off on demand and i couldnt figure out why our data was all used up again. and we only get 10gb a month so not to much. but anyways during the late night free zone when we thought it was not counting as free we would download a movie or two as many as we could fit in the five hour period. or when we remembered . but it was and so slow to download one hour long show it would take about an hour on a good night so anyways finally found out this is what u do and hope this works for you. at exactly ten or to be safe fifteen minutes until midnight if thats your time zone unplug your router not the modem from them but the router for instance we have a cisco but unplug just the power to that which will mean you will not have internet or at least nothing to go through to that box. meaning the modem will not connect with it at that . but your modem will reset then give it till about 10 after midnight and plug it back in and try to download something then. and it should be a whole lot different. we found out everything we downloaded was never free because it never reset. the only way it can reset on its own is if from 11:50 pm - 12:10 am nothing in your house is using the internet nothing at all so the easiest way we found to turn everything off is unplugging the power cord to our internet router . again not your modem the router . good luck

If you're not under DAP, then your modem will NOT reset for the free zone. If you are under DAP and your modem is not resetting, then there is an issue.
