Since I received my new WI-FI box my data gets used up twice as fast as before. Is there any thing I can do when nobody is using the WI-FI?

Ensure that you have a secure password on your wifi, and that you have changed the passwords that came as the default in the modem/wifi box

Hello Linda,

As Christine has previously mentioned the best way you can secure your wifi is making sure your password is private. Update your password if you feel data is being used without your knowledge.

Could it also be that the new wifi box she means is the 25mbs speed and would use more data than the 12mbs old modem?

Thanks, Everybody. I have changed the password and it didn't help. Is there some way to be able to use the modem just for my home computer and turn the WI-FI off till my Granddaughter is here?
