I have had Exede for two weeks now, during the day i get 5-6mb down and at 9-10pm I only get 200k down. Will this get better as people are moved to viasat-2? I have the 12mb unlimited plan.

I was told I'm on Viasat 2, and I have a similar experience. Peak afternoon speeds of around 15mbs on the 25mbps plan, but evening time, 6-11pm, I'm getting .5-2mbps. Really frustrating. The customer service guy who sold me on it said the speeds would be consistent. I need to talk to them to see if they can do something about it.

Do you have the triangle modem? If not you're not on ViaSat-2. Otherwise call us at 855-463-9333 or send an email over to viasatlistens@viasat.com

I don't think so, I am not on viasat-2. I signed up prior to it being brought on line.

Hi Scott

Customers migrating to ViaSat-2 will certainly help. In fact some areas you may benefit directly by switching to ViaSat-2 to see improved performance. Outside of migrating we are working on our network traffic on our end, closing areas that may be seeing a lot of traffic from new activations, changing current offerings and so on. I think we're on the trend upwards to see speed improve for you.

Please excuse me for butting into your conversation. Different Scott. Just wanted to say "Me too". I have the 25 Mbps Boost 18 Gig. plan. Been with excede for years and loved it up until lately. Soooooo slow. I've been on Liberty Pass this month after blowing my data limit. Usually don't mind to much when that happens. But now it's just like dial-up and I'm only using the browser. So can I jump on Sat2 and get what I got in the good ole days? Would like to go to unlimited 30 Mbps but don't see the sense in throwing more money at the problem when everything is soooooo slow. Even though I pay for 25 Mbps, I haven't seen speeds over 10 Mbps in 2018. Used to. But not this year.

lol no problem, i am not a heavy internet user so i don't really care too much, if it gets to slow i just go outside or go watch TV. I am having the opposite experience as you though, i am on the 12 gb plan and am getting 18mbps down during the day now which is significantly higher than when i first signed up so it is getting better for me. directly wiring to the router has helped a lot too.

I have noticed speeds have been getting better. I also hard wired my computers with cat5e directly to the exceed router/switch and that has helped too.

Why would I want to use bridge mode?

This might help you with your question: http://wildbluetools.com/content/FS/1....

It has helped me tremendously. I have NO cell service where I live so I have to depend on WiFi calling. I have installed a NETGEAR AC1900 router along with a NETGEAR AP1900 access point to give me quite a bit of range on my property. Like I’ve said...I have no noticeable difference from wired to WiFi since upgrading. I hope his helps.

Bridge mode essentially turns off the WiFi signal for the Exede modem and allows you to use an aftermarket router.

I see what you are doing no I don't have any questions.  Bridge mode turns off NAT. I have almost all of my computers directly wired to a switch or to my exceed router. it is working fine in this configuration. all but my ipads anyway.
