Netflix bandwidth usage

Here's a tip for those who use Netflix streaming. I found that watching two or three shows each day would use or exceed my calculated bandwidth per day (150GB / 30 days = 4.8GB per day). What I did was to log into Netflix and modify the playback settings for my profile to Medium rather than High or Auto. This resulted in considerably less bandwidth usage per day. Now for two or three shows I only use about 2GB per day. Quality ? I can't tell the difference and I use a large flat-screen.

You can complete this online calculator and get a close estimate of how much bandwidth usage you'll likely incur...

Harley. You are spot on with the usage estimates. And that is one person! People don't realize how much data video streaming eats. Then they wonder why they are out of data after a day!
