Howdy there.   i need wifi please[id]=15842701 :  current modem from wild blue com. is a via sat surfbeam 2 sattelite model #RM4100.  purchase a Belkin N450 router..problem is , no  additional ports at back of modem to plug in eithernet cable from router.

The ethernet cable connector is on the back of the Surfbeam 2 modem, in the middle, above the connection for the power supply cable. See page 2 in the Surfbeam 2 instruction manual, at this link.

No "additional" ports are needed. Connect modem to router and then router to any other devices. Your router manual as well as your modem manual should show you how  to do this.

Connect the PC to the WIFI Router "Port 1" using a NIC cable.
Connect the Viasat Surfbeam 2 Modem to the WIFI Router "Internet"  port using a NIC cable.
That's how I did it - WIFI connects to the router. 
The PC should see the Viasat Modem as an Internet connection.
A WIFI enabled guest PC will connect as usual (wireless) through the WIFI router.
