Need credit for modem we sent back

Seriously! We live in the Netherlands and have a house in Scotts Mills Oregon. We had a problem with our modem and recived a new one in April and sent the old one back. We have had two emails saying that we haven't sent it back, have called twice and been assured that all is well and have now been charged $150 . What is going on there!
