Nicole, the first thing I'd try is to reset the wifi on the modem.  There is a recessed button on the back of the modem.  Use a pin, or paper clip or the like to press the button down for 30 seconds, then reboot the modem.  This will set the wifi back to the factory settings.  You will see an Exede network (something like Exede783 or similar).  The password is on the sticker on the back of the modem, labeled as "key."

If you've done this, and you don't see the Exede network, then call into Care to have a modem replacement service call built.

Also, after you reset the wifi, you can then change the name/password to whatever you'd like.

Nicole, if you have an older HP printer and Windows 10, one that has no drivers over at HP.com newer than 2015, the printer will connect to the Exede Wifi modem but, windows 10 won't see it, neither will iOS 11.

I just had that issue recently with my old HP all in one. I had to replace it. (got an Epson WF-2750 which also needs the downloaded software with windows 10, not the disk it comes with but, connects and works perfectly once you get the right software and drivers for it.)

USB connection does work on those old printers but, then it can only print, scan or whatever from the computer it's connected to and, it uses Microsoft provided drivers to do that so, you loose some functionality and, they vanish every time they go to sleep, even on a USB connection, so you have to go back and remove, the re add them in the control panel every time you want to use them.

My old HP is relegated to being a copy machine until it runs out of ink LOL.

That is very interesting.   This sounds more like some sort of setup issue with the router.  Not able to use a printer if there are no drivers newer that 2015?
Other devices not connecting...

router issue.  If you have an existing router, just use that or buy a new one.  Better than changing a bunch of other equipment..

Nope, everything else connects and, is visible on the appropriate other devices. New printer connects and is visible on the network just fine. Old one connected to router (Exede SB2+) fine but, Win 10 couldn't see it, iphones did until iOS 11, then they lost it too.

Even hard wired, I'd have to reinstall the printer every time it went into sleep mode or the computer it was wired to couldn't see it. Only happened after the Creator's update and the iOS 11 update so that's the problem, needed updated drivers, which don't exist and won't for a printer that old. besides, it was a 30.00 printer six years ago. new one only 70.00 so, rather than fight with the old beast, time to replace it and hey, I have cloud and air print now, and a fax machine. Didn't get those before. xD

How about what setting do you have the router on 5 or 2.4 Ghz???  This is not a true dual band router.  Try the other setting.... I think mine defaulted to 5, but since I turned it off and used my ASUS router, I really do not remember.

2.4, no it is not router settings, those didn't change, only change was the Creator's update. A lot of things needed new drivers for that. HP choose not to issue compatible printer drivers for older printers.
