Hi Stephanie

At this time there's not a 3rd party modem that'll work with Viasat's service. The modems you'd find at Walmart or online are going to be either a cable or DSL modem. Unfortunately our entire subscription base and the other provider that does satellite service internet combined is probably about the same number as a medium size metro area and only a certain amount would buy their own equipment so unfortunately that's a drop in the bucket for 3rd party manufacturers who make their bread and butter for DSL/Cable providers so they haven't made any yet for a satellite provider.

Our modems are only encoded and provisioned to the account they belong to so any being sold online will not work either.
