My exede isn't working, and my computer says the "network did not assign a network address to the computer." What does that mean?

I realize you only have one repair guy for the entire state of West Virginia. I am hoping to get this fixed without waiting a week or more for him to come....

Try powering off your WiFi router and then your Viasat Modem. Wait 10 minutes then power on your Viasat modem. Wait about five minutes I s the top three lights ON. The bottom one indicates data traffics UP. Not sure since I'm not home. Then power on your WiFi modem, wait a few minutes then power up your computer/laptop to see if you've got internet. IF not then try plugging your computer, hopefully it's a laptop into the back of your mViasat modem (RJ45 cable). If that works then either your WiFi router is not setup properly or I some other issue with this router. This is assuming you have a similar setup that we have ion Central VA.

Hi, Lisa,  Gregory is correct rebooting the system often clears up issues, I've attached a process we use.

A good rule of thumb is to reboot your system and clear cache, cookies, and history on a regular basis.  Below are the steps we recommend to reboot your system. Here is the correct way to restart your wireless router and modem and computer (and yes, the order really does make a difference!) 

1) Power-down the computer connected to your modem.
2) Power-down the router (unplug it). 
3) Power-down the modem (unplug it). Wait 2 minutes
4) If you have an Ethernet cable connecting your computer to the modem, disconnect it. 
5) Make sure the Ethernet cable from the router is plugged into the back of the modem
 *Note: Wireless routers do not require a cable connection to the computers they support. 
6) Plug in the modem.
7) Wait until all LED lights on the modem are solid 
8) Power-up the router. 
9) Power up your computer
