loosing internet connection all the time, can not trust to stay connected to service to do anything. yesterday not a cloud in the sky, and went out 7 times in an hour. can not dwnld and read any scholarly papers as they become encrypted have troubleshooted that issue several times, all states isp issues. been with company for 2 months very unhappy. no I am not upgrading the plan just to have better connection this is a backup but, at this point we are pretty convinced that we either need a service call to fix it (was told could not mount on home, so its on pole)or an opt out in contract.

I have Liberty Pass for over a year and have had good service. My service only goes out with hard rain storm. You need good path to satellite and proper installation. for the system to work but it does work when done properly so I'd suggest a tech call to evaluate the problem... don't give up yet.

Hi Deborah, I would be more than happy to take a look at your account and see what could be causing your repeated drops in connectivity. I’m sorry you’ve had to experience intermittent connection; we may need to set up a service call if necessary. Please send us your account and contact info to exedelistens@viasat.com.

OK!!!!!!!!!!don't have time to do all this anymore, have to reboot modem every 10 min to keep connectivity when its actually there. please read my file notes from the other day and proceed. and also notate that case is not to be closed until 12 hrs after tech leaves or disconnects call so I don't have to keep playing on this merry go round ride.
of opening a viastat case for every reply i need to address.

Sounds like you may have a Cisco Linksys router. If this is the case throw it away that is your problem. These routers will work fine for awhile then they start dropping the connection from our modem. We use a Dlink N300 Cloud Router for all our customers and the always work. Hope this helps.

As Lake Country notes the DLink N300 works well for his customer base. Many of us here utilize ASUS routers and have no significant problems. The DLink N300 has a low price, while ASUS offers a wide variety of prices depending on desired features. If I were replacing my ASUS RT-N65R today, I'd likely be shopping for an ASUS RT-N66U (assuming they're still available).

I have been using the ASUS RT-N66U for aa year and a half now ad am very pleased with it. No dropped connections and good speed throughput, plus the great data measuring tool too.

That is the same one I am using now. It works great. My old router was a Linksys, dropped the connection several times aa day. Same thing happened when I was a HughesNet customer. I am very happy that I switched to Exede. Much improved over my previous supplier.
