I see that someone put me on the ' Most Helpful Member List '. I understand that Exede has a major investigation under way to find the person responsible.  I understand that EXEDE is offering a reward for information on who gave me a 'LIKE'.  If you are the one, this might a good time to change your user name as some others have done.

I wonder what my colored background means.

Welcome to the club Willy, your blue loving cup and 8 GB USB thumb drive should be arriving shortly. Heck, I'm going to even give you a like and a Me Too to speed up the process. But FWIW, everything's made up and the likes don't matter.

I hear you, Alfred has been stalking me ever since he got here - he thinks I don't know who he is now that he's ditched the hat and I ate his duck. I thought I'd outfox him with a name change, but the guy is relentless and you'll find the real reason for the change elsewhere (and it's somewhat related to your interest in truth in advertising so I'm no longer asked if I rescue labs).

However after reevaluating my position and some research, I'm now on your side - thanks for launching the formal investigation when nobody else wanted to join in.

As you can see below, my router indicates I'm coming no where near to 12Mbps. In fact the only time, I reached a minimum of 12Mpbs was a couple LNFZs ago during a 4GB download. I'm particularly concerned about those periods where no speed was recorded while I was off site or sleeping. Where do I go to signup for the class action suit? Have you engaged the law firm of Dewey, Cheatham and Howe? I've always been comfortable dealing with them. Count me in.

Kimberly, I think I have a lug nut that's loose on my ground terminal - either that or it's wet due to inclement weather. If it's any help, my modem status page under health is flashing red and currently reads PEBCAK on upload and PEBKAC on download..

I never owned a Duck!
And, the Law firm of D. C. & H proved that in court of duck.

And, yes you have a nut loose. If you where smart, you would put them in a Pringles can for later use.

On a different note, what router model are you getting that screen shot off of? I have a Netgear, but I just get numbers.

Everett/ Just call me Al...

I would like to know too.  What program are you using to get it.

ASUS RT-N65R - but any of the ASUS routers with ASUS-WRT do the same.

The duck must of belonged to somebody else... regardless he was still delicious, I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

P.S. The same can be achieved (for those who are adventurous) using an existing router and open fiirmware like Tomato or DD-WRT - Google/Bing are your friends (but have a spare router on hand in case you turn it into a brick).

You can also give ASUS-WRT a simulated test drive at:

and it shows the models on which it is supported.

HMC,

By the way you shouldn't have to worry about the modem update - we got that problem fixed while you were out ;)

But A. Everett Neuman has now received an even later one...
