I have the modem/router. I have a question/issue I suppose. I would like to use a different type of router so I can have extended coverage. I have the netgear nighthawk ac1900 however I can not get it to connect to the internet. It connected & shows wifi but it will never actually connect to the internet. Am I doing something wrong? Does it not work with another router?

Cassandra,  I installed a Netgear Nighthawk AC1750 a couple weeks ago for the same reason. I now have a connection about 600 feet away.  The installation was pretty straight forward.  I jst followed the instructions in the online documentation for the router model.  You have to connect the Exede modem to the Netgear with a data cable going from a data port on the Exede modem to the WAN port on the Netgear router.  Don't go from data port to data port.....Don
