Spencer, you will get download speeds of between 1 and 5 Mbps when in the Liberty Pass mode, unless you are in a congested beam and there is heavy network traffic. Since you had already used your data allotment, you will be in the Pass mode until your data reset date.

Spencer - what Steve says is correct.  I am getting 500 Kbps to 980 Kbps in the most congested and busiest times of the day.  That being said you should be able to browse just fine and most other things on a single computer should work well.

Keep updating on your experience for others that might be wondering as to whether to switch or not.  Do you know what beam you are on? That might help with letting you know what to expect.

Wow how funny I just did the exact same thing I switch today with no usage left hoping Liberty 10 works better than the Essential 10. Good Question Spencer.

So what Steve is basically saying my data will run fast for the remainder of the month, then back to kickin rocks with slowed data.

You should be within the 1-5mbps (lower end of the scale in the heavier traffic times, higher end in the slower traffic times) once you are on Liberty Pass. Other factors like routers and everything could affect it as well.

As for you Ana, the biggest difference between Essential 10 and Liberty plans will be the Liberty pass.

Just to give some real world feedback on what Liberty Pass speeds can be on a congested Beam, I have seem them as low as 300 Kbps, however I can still browse and see web pages just fine. This speed only seems to affect downloads or streaming. Plain web browsing and email seem to work just fine with little or no noticeable differences. I can say for several hours a day though that the speeds for Liberty Pass users definitely drop below the 1 Mbps on our Beam / gateway and I would expect the same for anyone else in a highly utilized Beam.
