Is there a plan with Exceed that we can send low bandwidth QOS tagged traffic?

Does Exceed have a service where we can send QOS tagged traffic, (low bandwidth, probably around 150kbs) to the modem and have it prioritized similarly to what I would assume Exceed does with their phone service VoIP traffic?

Hi steveclear1,  At this time we do not have that service available. Are you having an issue with VoIP service?  Please send an email to exedelistens@visat.com with your account and contact information and we will review your account.  VoIP service may or may not work with our satellite internet.

We are not YET customers, although the installer has been given the 'go ahead' to start setting up the equipment.

What we are thinking of doing is putting in a remote radio console, and while a straight 'best effort' IP stream to it will work, it would be more reliable if we could 'tag' the small amount of data, (relative to the 10-12mb / 3mb 'pipe' size, that is,) so it would assure timely delivery through the system.  I would assume, (and you know what that means,) that whatever 'box' you guys are adding to the system for POTS service, (Plain Old Telephone Service,) does do some kind of priority tagging to make sure the phone still works when people are loading up the channel with the PC traffic.

I guess I should ask, DOES your phone adapter USE QOS tagging of some kind, even if it is 'proprietary?'

If we can't inject tagged traffic directly into the modem, is there another 'box' that we could add that would provide a basic 4 wire E/M style interface that does use tagging on the Ethernet / satellite side?

Thanks,

Steve
