depending on your router you might be able to set when you can actually use the wireless but other wise just get a timer and plug the modem in to it.

Are you trying to set like a limit to when your kids can use it or something?

Hello Larry, I’m sure there are routers out there with such options configurations. I believe it really depends on the router type/manufacture. Your best bet it to shop around online.

The question was
"Is it possible to program the modem when to come on and off."
Yes
, not from within, but without.

Put your Exede modem on a simple light timer and have it come on and off as you desire in the program of the timer.  Allow about 2 minutes for it to boot-up when timer allows power to the modem.

Yea, like a simple timer... whod'a thought?  You did.   I hope Larry Lee Bruce uses one and comes back to say his usage went to about 1/3 by so doing.  If it makes a big difference it should become a very common suggestion.

Unplug your modem.  No data movement.
