Is anyone experiencing extra slow speeds and latency today?

speeeds unusually slow today?  Latency much higher as well.  Anyone else having the same trouble?

A bit here, but, there are thunderstorms in my area so, that's the problem. If your weather is clear, you can call customer care or, email viasatlistens@viasat.com with the details of your problem and, ask them to help you troubleshoot.

Latency 648 ms  normally in the 300 range

Viasat latency has NEVER been in the 300 range. I dont know what you have used to measure latency, but 600 - 700 is normal.

As far as speed, that could be pretty typical about any time of the day.

You're seeing something else then John.  Viasat or Hughesnet will never have it less than 600ms.  Maybe high 500's.  Maybe.  The speed of light dictates most of the latency.
