Just today my data usage meter was reset, however my internet remains the same speed it was before the meter reset.

I've been having similar problems. My speeds have been rather abysmal as of late.

Have you tried some troubleshooting methods?
1. Disconnect your router (if you have one) from the modem.
2. Restart your router.
3. Unplug your modem for a few minutes
4. Wait until the top three lights are on before plugging the router back in. (For some reason, if the router is plugged in when the modem comes back online it doesn't always regain full speed or acknowledge that the internet is reconnected-- not sure how it works or why, but that is what tech support has told me)

Sometimes this clears up the problems.

Also, if you don't want to restart your computer(s), open the command prompt (I'm assuming you have windows-- don't know how to do this on Mac) and type in ipconfig /release then hit enter. Wait for it to finish and then type ipconfig /renew

Do this for all computers on the network to make sure there are no ip conflicts. (The reason they tell you to restart your computer is to release and renew the ip)

If it is just one computer having issues then you might try rebooting.

Also, when the modem is off, make sure the coaxial cables are on tightly. Just finger-tighten the cables if they are not.

This *might* help.

If not, then you might have to call technical support.

I tried everything you listed above and I'm pretty sure it only kind of worked. I also tried a speed test and the thing didn't even finish...the highest it was for the down speed was 0.31 mbp/s.

Yes i been with them for a year and never used all my data till this last month.WIN 10 download and a big game so i know where it went. And i to have just been reset and i dont know if its the weather or the fact they had to reset but my internet has been acting up all day.But i will be keeping my eye on it.In the past year maybe 2 months out of the 12 i used more than half my data.I sure wish they took things like that into consideration when you do have a heavy duty month of data usage.Wouldn't that be nice! And im keeping my eye on my speed to after this I have herd some things i didnt like hearing about that after a reset.I dont want to have to look for a different sat internet provider. And i have had NO trouble in the past.Actually this last month before i ran my data well dry I even started to get to play online game STO stable and good like i was back with cable LOL.I havent tried since they reset me yesterday but i will tonight GOD wiling every thing is like it was.GOOD luck John i been there and its no fun i know and quite frustrating. They really do need to have rollover DATA you know!
