I've had the service for over 10 years, only needed two service calls in that time and, one was because my stepson accidentally felled a tree on my dish and broke the tria. The other was to relocate the service to another room in my home. (Could have moved the cable myself but, it was a chance to have my alignment and equipment checked in the process.)
Heavy storms will disable the service, temporarily but, I've had many days of light to moderate rain here and, no loss of connection. I've not had any major issues with customer service, no problems with billing, changing plans or anything.
Just remember it is metered service, meaning you have a limited amount of data (upload and download, and it includes loading web pages) to use before your speed will be slowed. Choose a plan that will meet your needs and, you'll be happy with the service.
I would not recommend getting this internet either. Customer service is horrible and by all means they charge an arm and a leg to disconnect. I have moved 3 times since I have had service with them. I have moved to a location where the land lord will not allow me to install anything and they want to charge me 15$ for every month until my contract is up. service was not all that great either. I can use dial up and get better service! PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER!!
