Did you unplug it from the wall not just the plug that goes into the modem?  I'd call viasat tell them about it , If they have to send you out a new one and wanna charge you for it hang up call back and get that 8 dollar a month insurance they offer , then hang up and call back talk to someone else and tell them about your modem

Hi Lynda

Is the circuit for the outlet still off? My old place would do that if I turned on the microwave while something else was going in the kitchen.

Otherwise call us at 855-463-9333 and we'll try to get you back on or set up an appointment

Tough to say which breaker being talked about here -  surge protectors have breakers, circuit breakers at the main panel, GFCI outlet upstream - start at outlet and work back.

oh right that's a thing on some.

I have this dumb one where I guess it was designed to save power but like if whatever is plugged into one outlet isn't on, nothing else plugged in works. It was sent to me by my mom who found a good deal online or something, so I decided to use it. I got around that annoyance by just plugging in my converted mini-fridge ;) since that has to stay on.

My smart home surge protector on the other hand, I just plugged my lamps into it so I can have my Echo Dot power the lights off/on by voice control
