I noticed you guys don't block ToR, are there any concerns with your customers using this type of software on your network?

I haven't had a problem with it. I usually download during the free period at night and set up Vuze to do it then. Just make sure that you forward the port in your router for the NAT if your not on a static IP address with Exede. Not even sure if they offer static IP. I've been downloading hour long programs in 720P that go around 1.4Gb and they'll download in about 1.5 hours. Not blazing speed like fiber or cable but not too shabby for satellite using TOR either.

Not quite what I was getting at, but thank you. I was made aware that during a DAP's process ToR was blocked over excede. This is not the norm as I seem to be able to use it normally otherwise. I primarily use ToR for communication and educational purposes. ( I know, yeah right...) and I was just curious if this will have to change because of all the talk of FCC regs. changing.

Hi Candid, It may be due to the speed.  Some website are not accessible when speeds are slowed. When the account is data restricted, it is slowed quite a bit.  Please send your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com and reference this link. We can do some troubleshooting to see if this is the case with ToR.
