Please help me. I am so miserable with exede. I cannot watch a single streaming video program without getting pop ups that I have "content error" even after I reset my settings to the lowest possible settings. I have spotty internet coverage and I am told I use up all my data fast. I have the largest plan possible. I have to get out of this contract now before I file some major legal complaints! Help me do this so I dont have to go down that road

Hi Elizabeth and Bryan,
Here recently there have been some real good solar flairs that cause havoc with all signals.

Is the actual popup error "content error" . I have not witnessed that one. Is the video buffering when this happens? Do you see a difference during the day, as compared to the night?

Is anyone else in the home playing WOW or something else during your video watching?

Is your home location on the fringe of a Exede satellite beam?

Has your dish been bumped. Are all the connections water tight? Have you added any other transmitting devices that might interfere, like, CB's, Shortwave, and so on?

How many computer's or other devices are making a connection to your Exede modem, either directly or wireless?

Do you know haw to access the modems admin section on your computers browser? Enter in the address bar. Look for one of the "db" listings for the modem that seem out of wack. post the DB info back and we can compare it with the norms for a modem.

Have you emailed one of the Exede moderators here on the forum?

I'm not one of them, but they do respond and help in most situations. provide them your account # and personal contact info.

If you are watching streaming video and you are not on the LNFZ you may have (probably have?)  used up your data for the month and been slowed. For all practical purposes, you can't watch streaming video on satellite internet if the free zone is not on and not use up your data. Satellite internet is what it is. You have to learn to be a data miser.

Thanks for response. I am living here alone. No one else is using this and now I watch the data usage. I just restarted my month and still having the same problem.

Have you tried connecting the device you are watching on directly to the modem?  what happens if you do that?  sometimes that can give you an idea whether your problem is with exede or instead could be with your equipment/router...also I just looked up the error message "content error" which I am not familiar with, and what I am finding is references to that particular error message  having to do with problems with a device or piece of equipment rather than with the internet may be a problem with the device/pc you are watching on....
but if you contact, they should be able to help you really track down the sources of the particular problems you are having.
